Koh Samui

We stayed in Koh Samui for 5 nights arriving at Nathon Pier we bought a transfer ticket from lomprayah for 150thb. Staying in Samui backpacker hotel at banrak beach @ 3150thb. (£12 a night) the room was really modern with epic beds, a hot shower and air con. We spent most of our stay here around the pool. However hired a bike for a day and checked out the big Buddha and Chewang beach which was really nice. Ark bar was a lively beach club definitely worth checking out. Koh Samui was probably my biggest disappointment so far on this trip. It was really commercial and didn’t have a good feel to it. We had some nice food at casa Luna hostel. In banrak beach there was not a lot to do. The first bar we checked out ended up being one where you could buy the bar tender!!! We also had a full body Thai oil massage which cost 300thb.
I wouldn’t return to Koh Samui, if I did it would be just to stay for the full moon party in Koh Phangan for the night. Ko Tao was by far my favourite Thai island so far.
